Just after their super summer ended, the Cumberland Trio
was stunned to learn that RIC was going bankrupt and their
new album would not be released. This news was devastating.
As
group members neared graduation, coupled with the "British
Invasion" led by The Beatles that plummeted sales
of folk LPs, the Trio recorded a demo tape of some pop/rock/rockabilly
songs using electric guitars, electric bass and drums.
After listening to the tapes and realizing this was not
their sound, the Trio dissolved to pursue individual careers.
